Environmental quality teams in China as well as Japan
The quality level of Chinese suppliers did not meet the quality level required by Tier-1 customers in Europe, resulting in frequent failures. Our company had deployed an environmental quality team not only in Japan but also in China, and the local team joined the supplying manufacturer and worked hard to raise the quality level and improve the yield to achieve mass production.
Re-inspection at the Wuxi Plant
In order to avoid having defective products in the mix, products were delivered to the Wuxi Plant for re-inspection after shipment from the manufacturer. Instead of delivering the products shipped by the manufacturer as-is to the customer, the QA department at the Wuxi plant took charge of quality control operations as local contact point for manufacturers and worked to prevent defective products from being included in shipments until quality levels had stabilized.
